The LGBTQ Association aims to work in full transparency with its membership. If you’ve read the bylaws, you may see that we originally laid out an election timeline within the bylaws, as well as an allowance for the elections subcommittee to set a timeline. These two things don’t necessarily work together, so we need to fix it next year. This year, because of the midterms and other factors, we realized that the timeline in the bylaws was going to be difficult and impractical. We’d like the new board and membership to revisit the timeline in the bylaws, which requires a full member meeting and vote. So this year, we expanded the timeline slightly to make sure that everyone gets to participate. Please reach out if you have any concerns with the elections dates or procedures.
